The Sun will shine again

About 16 months ago I teamed up with mental health nurse/author Jane Fisher and produced illustrations for this very important children’s book called 'The Sun Will Shine Again'.

I have experienced post natal depression after the birth of my third child and drawing for this book gave me a chance to reflecting on what happened back then and also allowed me to put some bits and pieces together.

Very often when I think of that time, my mind goes straight to where my children were and what did they see or what did the hear.
.
It can be difficult to answer certain questions when you’re not feeling well, and when we don’t answer questions children tend to find their own answers that can be not only incorrect but also scary. With this book, we really hope we created a useful resource for parents and teachers and anyone else who might needs a bit of support starting that conversation with children.
